Descriptions:

Gabions are double twisted hexagonal woven galvanized steel wire mesh baskets with a rectangular box shape. Mounted within are diaphragms that form equal size compartments or cells. The compartments or cells are filled with natural stone and the diaphragms minimize stone migration within the basket and providing even distribution of the stone fill throughout the basket even after structural movement

Specification (standard):

• Gabion materials: Low-carbon iron wire

• Gabion mesh shape: Hexagonal

• Gabion mesh size: 60x80, 70x90, 80x100,90x110, 100x120, 110x130, 120x150mm

• Gabion wire diameter:

  • Main wire: 2.0-4mm

  • Selvedge wire: 2.0mm-4.5mm

  • Tie wire: 2.2mm (or C rings)

Surface treatment powder coated:

• Hot-dipped galvanized, heavy zinc coating, up to 290g/m2

• PVC coated mattresses and gabion baskets are also available with a 0.5mm nominal thickness P.V.C. coating to enhance the resistance of the baskets to corrosion of the wire mesh. This provides a overall increase in diameter of 1mm to all wires used in the manufacturing process.

• Galfan, 95% zinc, 5% aluminum
