Tianfeng Securities released a research report that China's CCL capacity and output increased steadily in 2018. In terms of production capacity, China's rigid CCL (including metal CCL) capacity reached 752 million square meters in 2018, up 5% year-on-year; flexible CCL capacity reached 1.34 billion square meters, up 3% year-on-year.

In 2018, the total sales revenue of China's CCL industry reached 55.969 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%, of which rigid CCL sales accounted for the highest proportion, reaching 94.8%. The total revenue of CCL and prepreg in China reached 66.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.1%.

According to the research report, in 2018, China's CCL's annual export volume was 594 million yuan, down 0.36% year-on-year; the export volume was 93,800 tons, down 0.6% year-on-year. In terms of imports, China's CCL imports reached US$1.115 billion in 2018, up 1.34% year-on-year; imports were 79,500 tons, down 7.03% year-on-year. Since 2012, China's CCL's international trade deficit has been rising. The global trade deficit in 2018 reached 520 million US dollars, the highest level in the past nine years. The reason is that high-end CCL products are mainly concentrated in Japan and the United States, while China's CCL products are mainly low-end products.

According to the research report, in 2018, the total revenue of the top ten enterprises in China's CCL industry reached 45.944 billion yuan, an increase of 7.78% year-on-year, lower than the industry growth rate of 12.1%, accounting accounted for 82.1% of China's total industrial revenue. Industry concentration is already at a high level. The number of domestic companies in China's top ten CCL sales revenue has exceeded half, and the industry leaders in fiberglass cloth and paper-based CCL are domestic companies. China's domestic CCL production enterprises are becoming stronger and stronger, and their competitiveness is gradually improving.
